Why we love hiking the Cotswolds (away from the tourist hotspots)

The beauty of the Cotswolds is deservedly world renowned: charming cottages, rolling hills, classic market towns and history stretching back to the Romans and beyond. It’s quintessentially English and popular the world over.

Alison and I have long family ties in the area, and we have spent many years exploring its lesser-known lanes and footpaths. These quiet ways, tucked-away villages and beautiful views are what we share with our guests. To show a more authentic, mellow and simpler Cotswolds. The Cotswolds that we know and love.

From Neolithic monuments, to grand wool churches, historic houses and idyllic villages that few see, we tell the story of the Cotswolds through the lives of the people who have walked the paths & trails for thousands of years.
